Katie Ledecky, born on March 17, 1997, is a three-time Olympian who first started her competitive swimming career at the age of 6. By the time she was 15, Ledecky had secured a place on the U.S. Olympic team.

In her debut game, she achieved an American record in the 800m freestyle event, earning her a gold medal. In the Rio Olympics, she was able to earn multiple gold medals, setting a new world record in the 800m freestyle, as well as securing gold in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle, and 4x200m freestyle events. To date, Ledecky has earned a total of 7 Olympic Gold medals and 21 World Championship gold medals.
